Everything has weaknesses. And no, we don’t mean our weakness for the exceptional 58 Chocolate from Merano (we will tell you where to find the shop…) 🍫
Please don’t book if any of the following things are super important to you.
(Or still book but don’t complain afterwards.)
No pool. Merano’s lido is not far and has South Tyrol’s longest water slide. No hotel can offer that. We neither.
No pets. We love animals but decided not to host them.
No silent retreat. In this Italian condominium are 20 flats. You’ll (most likely) eventually meet and hear your neighbors. After all you want to be in the city, right?
No big TV. Just 32 inch, an oldschool Atari gaming console and Netflix is all we have to offer.
(But nature is better anyway.)
Not barrier-free. All jokes and funny texts aside. We sincerely wish this would be different, but there are a handful of steps you have to overcome to get to the apartment.

There are endless pastabilities. Our selection of the best local restaurants and bars ensures you’ll never go hungry.
And we’re about more than just great food—whether you’re into hiking, skiing, mountain carting or just want to visit the most fun playgrounds (approved by our kids) – there's always something exciting to do in Merano.

Hier waren Design Profis am Werk! Das Bad sehr modern und clean mit Rain Shower Dusche und Föhn . Perfekt ausgestattete Küche, es fehlte an nichts, jedes Detail war durchdacht ( z.B. Kaffeefilter schon vorhanden für die kultige Moccamaster Kaffeemaschine oder Olivenöl etc.) Die Bio Bettwäsche tiptop und ebenso die flauschige Qualität der Handtücher sowie Seife und Shampoo. Besser als in manchen Hotel! Super entzückend eine Flasche Weißwein und Biolimonaden sowie ein paar Köstlichkeiten wie Käse, Schüttelbrot als Willkommensgruss 👍. Die Lage ist perfekt, nur 10 Minuten ins Meraner Centrum und trotzdem ruhig.

The apartment is located near the old town. Everything, including various walking and hiking trails, is within easy walking distance. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable in the apartment which was extremely lovingly furnished and comfortable-modern. That way we could spend one or two rainy days very pleasant.

Great hosts, great Apartment with great attention to detail! Clean, comfortable, perfect location. And a small garage of its own in the yard (not lockable, but large enough to accommodate the e-bikes as well). We had a sunny weekend and in the beginning of May we could even sit in the evening in the mild temperatures on the terrace. There is also a children's playground across the street in the park 👌 Would book again immediately!

Here, the sun shines bright, and the weather vibes are always* chill. Our retro retreat is nestled amidst lush Mediterranean vegetation, where palm trees sway to the rhythm of your relaxation.
*Disclaimer: Except for May 2024, when we had the most rain in 73 years. We had already started calling it Meraino – and then suddenly the sun came back… 🌤️

Berlin, Pretoria, Copenhagen and now Merano. Our journey has taken us to different countries before we set up camp in the Italian Alps.
Born in the 80s, we love third wave coffee (Jakob), knitting (Sina), and mixing design from different decades.
When we’re not debating who gets the last piece of homemade tiramisu, we’re chasing our kids, hunting for the perfect vintage chair – or arguing which song should be on the LCM playlist… ⬇️

Well, as we mentioned above: Late Checkout Merano is in a 60s Italia condominium in walking distance to the city center. And there are neighbors. They are super nice, but they also live there and most likely you'll eventually hear them.

We are millennials. We value working from home and anywhere. Thus we have a very stable internet connection with ~50Mbit/s (that also works for binge watching and procrastinating on YouTube. Have you seen that video where someone makes pasta with 256 eggs? OK, I digress...)
